Hello, my name is Sydney Samuel Lake, the Superintendent Minister in the Leicester West Circuit. My churches that I have pastoral oversight of are Glenfield and New Parks. I am married to Hawa, who is a qualified social worker and we care for our two children: Sydney David and Grace Samuella.
Prior to full time ministry, I studied Accountancy, completed an MBA, and then worked as a Chartered Management Accountant in the Public Sector, particularly for Local Authorities. Since studying Theology Ministry and Mission at the Queen’s Foundation in Birmingham, I now consider myself a traditional Methodist. I love to practice the best of Methodist original traditions in addition to new ways of doing church.
I pray, that God’s Holy Spirit may help and guide us as we serve the people of God in our community and for more people to offer themselves over to God’s service.
